Prebble Family Tales

Gareth went to camp this month! His therapists led a two-week mini camp (2 1/2 hours each day) in Bellefonte. Gareth loved having the opportunity to play with so many other kids! Each day at camp the children would sing songs, exercise and play, get messy, do arts and crafts, eat snacks (Gareth’s favorite!), and read stories. Gareth spent many hot afternoons this month in his new pool. His bath seat fits perfectly in a kiddie pool and he has a blast splashing and playing with his toys! <%popup(20040704-swimming.jpg|640|480|Swimming)%> | <%popup(20040704-swimmy.jpg|640|480|Splish Splash)%>

We had some fun outings this month! In the beginning of the month, Gareth took his first trip out of the state. We went to visit our friends Michelle, Gordon and Seth in Princeton, New Jersey. We stayed away from home for two whole nights! Gareth had a great time and was absolutely wonderful most of the trip. Seth is one, so Seth and Gareth had fun sharing toys and playing together. We visited Princeton University and local shops during our stay. Later in the month we spent a day at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park. The Infant Evaluation Program, the group that provides Gareth’s therapy, treated the kiddos to a day at the park. We traveled with our friends Suzanne, Micah and Will (We squeezed all three boys in the back of the car–it was quite a sight!!) and met up with several of Gareth’s therapists and buddies. Gareth used his tumbleforms chair to sit on many of the kiddie rides and he had an absolute blast! The elephant ride was definitely his favorite. Gareth waved to his nervous mommy every time he came around and asked to ride everything over and over again. It was a perfect day!
