Kicking without consequence

We’ve struggled for a while now with Gareth to get him to stop kicking us when he wants attention.  He does it largely because his legs are stronger and they have longer reach.  Of course, he has also learned that he gets an immediate reaction to kicks.

So imagine the confusion when we tell him kicking is bad but then talk about how good it is that the baby is kicking.

In the future, we will be referring to the percussion of the unborn as “moving”.  As in, “the baby is moving” instead of “the baby is kicking”.  This should clear up any confusion.

And I bring all this up only because we can now externally feel the “moving” of the baby.

I obviously need to read this site more often… I like the name you’ve chosen - “Child 2″ has a nice ring to it. Congratulations!

We won’t find out until next Wednesday what it is we’re having, so no names have been decided upon.

Also contributing to the lack of chosen names is the fact that I keep suggesting names that nobody in their right mind would choose: Chewbacca; Percival; Engelbert.

No, I’m not being very helpful.

Can I just say that I am sitting here with my jaw dropping on the floor?!?! I’m thrilled for your news! I didn’t know! How did I miss out?! :) So exciting and I’m just thrilled. When’s the baby due?? YAY!!!!!

It can’t be easy trying to balance Chewbacca with Piglet… Though apparently they have more in common than I’d expect. (http://darth.wikia.com/wiki/Piglett)

Although Engelbert has a nice ring to it, my vote is still for “Child 2″.

Re: due date… Technially November, but we (yeah, right, “we”) are deliving in October in order to reduce any chances of ending the delivery with a flight to Danville.

I have to say that regardless of the fact that I have personal reasons for believing that naming ones child Julian may lead to loud screams, licking of light posts in large cities and baby leashes well beyond the manufacturers recommended use, Julian would still be my first pick of the names you’ve included. That said, Brad wants to name any future children we may have “bob” or “nacho” so I’m not one to criticize! :o)~
